Hi, just registered on here after buying a 2010 E250 cabriolet.
New to Mercedes cars so have lots to ask.
Had it 3 days and so far enjoying it. I would like sat nav built in though so any advice appreciated.

Thanks, I will take some once she has been washed....it isn't the most exciting colour wise...Palladium silver /black interior...pretty standard Merc from what I have seen. I would have liked a light interior as I had a great cream leather in a Laguna a few years ago which looked great. I had to compromise a bit as my better half insisted on a manual version (hens teeth!) so limited options a bit. However I like it because it is "understated" , and I can always start a taxi business :)
Looking forward to taking her to France , and the wife can come too if she behaves !!

Palladium and black is a classic combo. I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks JBD I am sure I will.
MB salesman? At Robinsons?

Thanks, can anyone advise if an ntg 4.5 sat nav can be retrofitted into my 2010 e class cabrio? I have only seen reference to ntg 4 which does not have full post codes and only a pcmia slot

Hi, welcome to the forum, if you are thinking of changing the command, I would think of aftermarket satnav's ie. pioneer/kenwood/alpine.
They seem to do most things a bit better. Good luck with the car.

Well decided on a standard Garmin maps for life satnav rather than retrofit a built in one. Couldn't justify paying nearly 10 x more for the built in version which has not got great reviews anyway.

Couldn't believe my luck!

Bit late responding here, but just to complete this thread...I almost shelled out for a new sat nav as I was told the car did not have it and always wondered why there was a nav booklet in with the manuals...turns out IT DOES HAVE SAT NAV....7 digit postcode too :bannana:

Guessing previous owner never realised it had nav either as route history is all around the original selling location miles from where I purchased it.

Not an obvious way to switch it on though, holding down the cancel button....would never have guessed it!

I am at MB in Norwich. Sorry about the late reply [emoji23]

Help regarding wheels and tyres

Hi again, just wondered if you ad any thoughts in this issue please?
I have standard 5 spoke 18" alloys on my E250 cabrio and hoped to change to a nicer style (in my opinion).
Tyres at the moment are standard I think at 255/25 & 235/40 on 8/8.5 staggered rims.
I have seen some used ones I like which are 255/45 & 235/50, would the increased diameter (about 24mm) pose any real issues for the car please?

For some reason the car has "sport" suspension but is a non sport standard bhp engine, and I feel the ride is fine on good roads but harsh at times elsewhere, would the increased tyre profile help this does anyone think.

Thanks

Increased tyre profile should help, as they have more give
