high mileage 124 diesel

Hi im new here ,but have owned a 1986 280ce ,a 1990,300e,a1993 320 ce ,,a 1993 e250d and am now the proud owner of a 1992 300d auto with 447000 miles on the clock runs like new i commute 600 miles aweek in this car and she just keeps going has anyone one else in the uk got a diesel 124 with this kind of mileage or higher ..

ah well .they are so well built i am after a frogeyed turbo diesel auto ,what engine would people recommend to go for im keeping my 124,just want something with a little more acceleration plus ive never owned one and like the even bigger bodyshape .Any ideas guys

Yeah stick with the 124s. Ive had a dally in 210 land and now Im back to solely 124s and a little C250 runaround estate.

In Bulgaria we have TONS of old W124s - I've seen a 700,000 km (435,000 miles) works no-problem.

I had a W201 with 200,000 km on the clock and my current drive is a 124 with 211,000 km. But, hey - here in Bulgaria almost every car is with re-wound clock, so I think both of them are with higher mileage.

Anyways, any old MB is not afraid of high mileage so long as the owner cares for the car with the proper maintenance.

W210 (Frogeyed) are great cars. In diesels there are three options, 250-D, only on early cars and is slow, 300-D multivalve, again only early cars, not too bad, 300-Turbo which is the one to go for. Quick and long lived.
