hi guys

i browsing the web and found a few courses that help with driving a high powered car. Was wondering out of curiosity if you went to one of these courses and did the for example 8hour full day package does it help with insurance or anything?

Thanks for the link, it looks interesting.

What these companies do is hire independent Instructors like myself and insist on a minimum number which means the driver does not get the maximum benefit and often not the tuition they require.

Best route for young drivers to minimise Insurance is

  1. Pass Test
  2. Take & Pass, Pass+ Test
  3. Join RosPA and get Bronze qualification (minimum)
  4. Take professional defensive driving course
Whilst any training is good I would always advocate making sure the training undertaken fits the original objective.

Remember RoSPA is free all it requires is your time and the trainers are usually serving traffic officers and good.

I am not so keen on those who try to promote the notion that advanced driving is all about speed and taking cars to and beyond the limits of safe handling , rather than promoting the idea that it is about observation , planning and driving in a safe and systematic manner so that you never find yourself caught out .

High speeds can be , but do not have to be , part of an advanced drive .
