Hit a minicab. :-(

On saying the above MB of Hertford now use them and apparently their standards are now very good. Hopefully you can use them for your repairs and kinda be my guineu pig in case I need any repairs in the future. :D

I figured that it if I get it repaired where my dealer tells me, they may assist if something is not quite right. Will be there getting a quote at 8am tomorrow morning.

It just struck me... this thread should really live in the Roadrage/Incidents/Wins Section. :)

Moving...

Scott,
If your in Bishop's Stortford, then call me, my offices are just around the corner from the dealer................
I have some good reports from Hilton Coach Works.
MB and others use them all the time

That's a long commute Doriant!

Do you know what coutesy car you'll get Scott? I live quite close to Bishops Stortford and see loads of stupid little Suzuki cars with Hilton Coach Works written down the side.

If you're going to hit a minicab (or one hits you) make sure there's enough damage to put their car off the road. Their car is their livelyhood. It'll probably hurt them more having their car off the road.
I guess the same applies to the black cabs.

Well I was up in Bishop's Stortford this morning at 8am, and figured that it was a bit early to call anyone. ;-) Hilton's is awesomely impressive. VERY expensive metal everywhere! Had a look around, very clean and tidy, all the right kit and very nice staff.

I can confirm that the 'loaner' will be a Suzuki shoebox with 1 horsepower. :-) I've booked it in for 4-8 October whilst I am in Singapore on business. The Mrs can drive the wind up toy.

And that's only a few miles form some broken Cisco Kit !!!! - should have read this thread sooner !!! Sorry to hear about your prang..

Good news Scot about authorisation of repair through Chrsyler... hopefully they they will do a first class job.

It is bad just as expected... other half unexpectedly went to bodshop and turned up this morning and front wing on drivers side, bumper, bonnet and alloy need to be replaced in additon to headlamp.grill etc (at least).

Even it was minor we would not accept it - waiting for Sales Manager to get back with a resolution about new car... asked about courteoust car and they went funny... we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks for tip for changing spec slightly (she made a note of the chassin details.engine no. etc. as I told her to.

that's the sort of advice I'd expect to see in VIZ top tips - not on an "adult" forum

does the same apply to if you are going to hit a pedestrian?

Lighten up andy_k.

No one really wants to have an accident do they!

Just over £1000 damage! Directline have been awesome to deal with, as have Hilton's.

Dropped the car to Hilton's on Monday and caught up with Dorian for a quick blat in the Audi. Lovely car! If my next car isn't a proper Merc, it's going to be an Audi. :-)

Anyway I am now driving what can best be described as a washing machine - the awesome Suzuki Wagon R+. "Sheer Driving Embarassment". Steering wheel has no effect on the direction of the car once you reach 60mph. Got it to 95mph down a hill on the M11 on the way home. Economy is stupendous compared with the Chrysler.

Please let them fixeth my Crossfire quickly Lord, as I haveth not the desire to driveth the washing machine with wheels. At least no-one will key it or steal it as there is absolutely no point.

Hopefully one week ought to be enough to fix it.

Can you shed any light on to why it's a "R+" what's the + for?
