Ho hum...white smoke

Just got my AMG C32 back yesterday, it was in getting a water pump fitted and changed transmission oil and filter.

Now when I start it up after it's been sitting a while there is a puff of white smoke from the exhaust. Engine runs normally, not down on power or anything and temperature is normal.

Garage actually did a service at the start of last week but I didn't notice the smoke then. Just in the last 24 hours.

If I am running the car in dyno mode when idling it is telling me there is circa 7 litres of oil present.

Apparently amg's do smoke at cold start up some times, the more they are left unused the more likely. Seems normal as even brand new cars do it, if you search youtube there are videos of e55's, clk 55's and even c63's.

Strange for it to start immediately after the car has been worked on though.

Have been driving quite a bit today and it has now flashed up a "reduce engine oil!" message.

Time to go back to the garage on Monday I suppose, after them having had it 3 nights last week already. This car, it is hard going at times. It seems it's never far away from some error message or another.

If there is too much oil in, then that would make it worse.

Update, garage took half a litre of excess oil out - I started getting the "excess oil" warning, and now all seems fine.
