How can you tell if it has an LSD

Quick one.

A friend of mine is looking at a 2009 PP that apparently has an LSD.

Seller has no evidence of this but how would we verify his claim ?

It should be a listed option on the datacard if it was a factory fitment.

Get the Reg# and put it in HERE.

That will give the Vin#, unless he has that already, which can be put HERE and he can see the options fitted at production time.

IF a aftermarket quaife was fitted, there should be a receipt somewhere surely?

Lift the rear wheels and turn one side, the other should rotate in the same direction. Not definitive though as some LSD operate differently.

Get the VIN and datacard will list the SA code

Ha! Mine too. No way I'd own one of those fraudulent C63 special editions.

Turn the steering wheel halfway to one side.
Select "D".
Mash the Accelerator.

Go back to the start and count the black lines on th eroad. If you can devide by two and get an integer, you have a LSD.

If you don't put the Vin# into that site, with all 17 digits without spaces, it will not recognise it.

The only trouble using some of these sites is there are mistakes occasionally.
