how do i get gearbox number??

hi guys,

after my recent gearbox probs, iv now calmed down alot, i think im going to go down the route of fixing or replacing my gearbox but im finding it difficult not knowing my gearbox number....

how can/do i find out what the number my gearbox is???

i have a late 1999 facelift E320 avantgarde, chassis number: WDB2102652A962872. my engine number is: 11294130529189.......

if anyone could help or find out for me, it would be a massive favour

im going to try get my codes read in the next week or so hopefully in the mean time!!

Get the codes read before you start thinking about changing gearboxes.
