Hello

My Wifes A class was around 6 months ago treated while being parked to a really big dent right on the crease panel.

I've had the dent removed fine, and they did a really good job however the colour match is not right.

I've had a quote just to spray the door of £225

However I've also spotted a complete door from the same year car for sale for £100 complete with handle/ mirror etc.

I was thinking I could just swap this....

But I would have the electrics to the window, door lock, speakers etc

Is it worth the trouble?

Thanks

First question to ask yourself - will the paint match? Personally, I'd bite the bullet and pay to get the existing door sprayed.

^ your probably right really :)

Its not right at the moment, certain light it looks worse. It just seemed a good idea at the time...

I changed 2 doors on the W202 - a dead simple job.

The hardest part was finding a seller that had disconnected the donor door properly, and not just cut the wiring loom. On the W202 there is a connector just inside the car's body... and yet most sellers just cut the loom, at which point it's a pain becuse you will need to remove the trim and rewire the electrics using your old loom...

I can probably put together a how-to for the W202...
M.
