This is my first post in these forums so i hope someone can help

I have a 95 E320 Coupe and the only part of the interior that is damaged is the center armrest that doubles as storage/carphone plug

I went to the local dealership to find out how much it would be to buy one and they quoted me $1500 so i had been looking online and finally found one on ebay that is the same color as my interior (tan/shroom) for $250 in perfect condition from a reputable seller

In the item description it says it is an easy 10 minute install but i can not find any install instructions through google

Does anyone here know how to go about installing one of these? any help is appreciated

Thanks in advance

Here are 2 pictures of the item for reference

I guess you are in the states ? as that type is not often found here in the UK
on the W124 cars.

You are better asking this question on one of the many US forums I would have thought.

If the arm rest is attached the same way as the normal arm rest -which it probably is?? then the following applies. Gently Lever off the plastic cover over the armrest mounting and remove the 2 nuts holding the mounting to the seatframe. Installation is the reverse.
WARNING!! PERFORM BOTH REMOVAL AND ATTACHMENT WITH THE ARM REST IN THE VERTICAL POSITION TO AVOID DAMAGING THE INTERNAL TILT MECHANISM. (this tilts the armrest up if its locked in a horizontal position and the seat back is tilted forward to avoid damaging the gear lever/surround etc).
see picture of mounting:-

Thanks for the reply, that mount looks like the same shape as the plastic cover on the seat contact for the armrest in my car, i will check it out today and see what it looks like

I actually did not notice that this was a UK forum until after i posted but i figured that someone might know how to go about doing this

Thanks again

W124 armrest

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to install an armrest on my French-spec "Tropicalised' 1992 300E. When I fitted an armrest to my W116 there was no need for fitting kit. However, I was looking at a PDF and it appears that a stamped metal backing piece is required as well as two long bolts, bolts are the easy part.

I found a VGC grey leather armrest in the UK on e-Bay but the seller doesn't have a fitting kit. I'm in sunny Brazil, and a fitting kit is like the proverbial hen's teeth. I think that having a piece made up would be more than enough. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, Martin
