220CE COUPE,,
looked through all the posts about s/wheels,, could'nt find mention of this,,

i have my seat adjusted all the way back as far as it will go,, so i can stretch my gammy leg out(motorcycle crash 36 years ago),, more comfortable for me,, but it means the s/wheel's a bit on the high side,, looked in the south african manual i've got,, not very informative,,

wondering if i can just undo the steering coloum bracket and put a spacer between it and the bodywork under the dash,, few inches,,

in the manual it does'nt show a universal joint in the steering coloum,, if it had one i think i'd be ok,,

anyone think it's feasible,, ??

Diagram.

Looking at this Diagram, it looks like it doesn't have a 'uj'. It looks like it connects directly ont the steering box via a rubber coupling bush.

I don't think I would like to try it.

You can fit the assembly from a W140 which will allow you to have electronic adjustment.

I've seen this mod on a 500e.
