WITHOUT using the Mute button?

Is it possible?

I have Linguatronic but there are no commands to mute the radio! :(

I was hoping there was a way using the steering wheel buttons, if not Linguatronic

I know that you can tell your lingure lady more things than I can, but I dont think that you can tell this.

I find it annoying sometimes when concentrating on a route when you cannot shut the source up. As you do not have a TV, cannot you select it from the steering wheel

It seems ridiculous that one can tell her to un-mute the radio but not to mute it !

How do I select Video from the steering wheel/

I can flip through the devices fitted from my right hand display in the cluster, though yours may not be the same, each time I push it changes from say CD-FM-Navi and so on.. you have a TV input go to the menu and select AUX1 or 2 and that will stay in the TV menu and give you silence

Mmm, not sure that will work with my car..

What I want ideally is to be able to mute the radio and return to the Map screen for example.

Seems daft if you have to reach across to the COMAND and hit the Mute button

Try pressing one of the soft keys then I think select radio and then select radio off.

I'll give it a go on the way home tonight but it doesn't sound hopeful. I think the softkeys only relate to the function displaying and I don't recall a "Radio-Off" button but I'll double check :)

I still think that leaving the TV set to Aux is the best way, then you only have to hit the TV button and then the Nav again as you can get the TV up in Linguretronic
