Looks like a pre-facelift W204 C-Class? If so, there's a 3.5mm jack socket in the glovebox.

Unless you want to spend a couple of hundred quid on a media interface module, there are a couple of solutions but neither will give you use of the steering wheel controls to navigate your music, nor will they display track info on the car's screen.

Cheapest way is to use a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male jack plug lead and plug one end into the headphone socket of your iPhone and the other into the glovebox socket, or use a Bluetooth receiver like this (others are available) plugged into the glovebox socket and then stream audio from the phone.

You can fit the genuine Mercedes ipod interface that will give you control from the steering wheel with tracks/artists/playlists etc in the instrument cluster. As you have an iphone6 you would need to add to the kit the Viseeo WMA1000 which allows the iphone6 to bluetooth to the ipod kit. Parts are here;

...and that's the "elegant, full function" solution (looks like I was about £150 shy on my cost guess though!).

.

I had a mCar from Comand Online - as Alfie has recommended, and can confirm they are brilliant!

You get full control of your iPhone music list, and it takes care of your phone calls too! (It also charges the phone, obviously...)

Here's a picture of what my old NTG1 display looked like when it was installed:

Your Comand should look very similar, if not the same?

Definitely worth £499/£449 (with DAB; without DAB) IMO.

The mCar transforms an antiquated Comand system (no offence) in to something USEABLE, particularly whilst you are driving.

And of course C Online do a very professional installation service, which you might want to use because the mCar taps into the fibre optics of the car's Comand system.....

You won't regret it :)

Cheers,
Robert

I don't have anything in the glove box to plug in. I did find a hole that I thought was a audio jack but I plugged the cable into my phone and into the hole and nothing. Bluetooth works for my phone calls and sometimes it picks up me typing on the phone noise but music a no go.

There is a audio jack but when I plugged the cable directly into it and into my phone it didn't work. Would it work with the Bluetooth kit ?

The audio strength from the headphone socket is always poor. You have to turn the phone volume to max and then alter the stereo volume which will also have to be quite high.

Thank you will give this ago , if not do you think the blue tooth unit will work?
