The COMAND system (NTG1, I think) on my CLS has OEM Linguatronic.

All I can find on how to use in the COMAND manual is to "train" it.

Nothing in the standard instruction manual.

Any "get up to speed" quick tips please?

Pull the lever and say 'Help'

Each time you go into the linguatronic when you pull the lever a list of available comands should appear on the screen.

eg;

Navigation
Enter Destination

Next station

etc

ive just ordered the linguatronic manual picking it up over the weekend, about a fiver, will post the part number when i get it

you train it via the system menu on your comand, there will be a lingua option and all obvious from thereon!

Thanks, Alps. I'd appreciate the part number as I would like a copy too. My motor has linguatronic but I never use it. Perhaps if I understood it better, it would become as indispensable as others on here reckon!

Turns out I have 3 things for Linguatronic:

1. A manual -- PN:211 584 6881
2. A tiny credit card sized manual -- PN:211 584 0198
3. A CD (or is it a DVD) -- PN:211 827 3459

as promised manual part number has changed from c240sport97 `s post

part number is now MZ6515973202

How much are the voice control units in Europe? Are they cheaper than in the US? I can get a complete set for about 160 Dollars.

US versions are differnt, also US cars have the pre-wiring already there, UK cars need alot more wiring, stalks need changing etc etc...

Anyone know where to get a control unit from at a good price?
Dealer price is way too high.

I'd like to fit linguatronic in my S211.

Dealers are always way too high. eBay is empty right now. Only one guy who sells a phone system and claims it is also a voice control module but that is b/s. The seller's name is jury965. I told him friendly to change his auction headline to not mislead people and he told me he this harassment. So be aware of this crap.

Thanks mate, yes I know there's a couple of these sorts on eBay.

i find its easier just to press the button.

thats where the problem is, its all still new to me and i still fumble about finding functions, its easier pressing the lever and telling the bird what to do for you ;)
