Has anyone come across HVO alternative diesel fuel, I have read an article on the official MB web site, very interesting reading

Hi , friend of mine has tried ever variation of diesel ever produced.

Some fuels require heaters in the fuel tank , filters continually changed.

He came to the conclusion regular diesel is the way to go.

and the world is attempting to ban the only type of engine that can run without electricity on just about anything including used motor oil.

The fuel and engine of choice for survivalists.....

The way things could be going, that might not be the worst shout ever

I read online that the first commercial fussion reactor should be connected to the grid in 2030 😯

(Though looking at the range of technologal issues that haven't been resolved yet, 2030 sounds over-optimistic...)

I had friends at college back in the 70’s that were working on fusion. Very tricky beast to control. Also some discussion to be had from a thermodynamics viewpoint on how widespread use of fusion reactors would affect our climate.

The good news is that radioactive waste isn't an issue with fussion reactors, apparently. The bad news is that while fussion reactors do seem to work (sort of..), they haven't quite figured-out how to produce more energy from the reactor then what goes into it.......... but I am sure the brainiacs will figure it out..... eventually :thumb:

There are several locations in the UK where HVO 100 can be purchased, but at the moment it is sold to private fleets with no general sale to the public.

It’s the notion that if we get nuclear fusion up and running (very big if), that we will have solved energy supply and will be able to produce and consume as much energy as we want without affecting our climate.
