I think I posted pics of this car previously, but on a Monday afternoon and looking for distractions from the business of working ...

no price, so must be 6 figures!

Looks fab! Imagine it lowered with 20" rims and AMG Quad exhaust to the rear???

(Only joking, one of only a few classic cars I really like.)

Shall we all chip in?

Ant.

Low grille restored 3.5 W111.

Six figures, easy.

It's got your name all over it Sean.

Go on, go on, go on...

The finance director at my old company had one of those, very nice too. He'd had it a few years, didn't pay anything like that amount of money for it! A wise investment as it turns out with values as they are now..

I was interested in this car a few months ago. Not as nice as it should be coincidering the 100k asking price. Was sold 2years ago by the same company for 47k then bought back. Apparently it had 67k spent on it by TD Heaney then another 27k by the person who paid 47k for it according to Avangarde. When I went to see it I was very disappointed. 12" high filler allround the bottom, chrome trim not lining up, paint bubbles on roof and terrible body gaps. Interior needs tidying up around rear window parcel shelf engine bay needs a good going over. Although I think the W111's are fabulous cars this one was a great disappointment. All this is only my personal opinion.

that's great information, well restored cars (regardless of amount spent) are very hard to find

Can you just put yourself out of your misery please.

I had one the same colours as your model one, only a 220 though though and it was a manual with the gear stick on the floor, sold it in 1974 and bought a navy blue one with light grey leather, one owner and only 18000 miles on the clock, garaged all its life and was immaculate, wish I had kept it!!! I have some pics of them in my album named old and new, but dont know how to post them here

Beautiful cars! I was helping to clean interior of my friend's 200D last weekend... Not as exclusive, but similar interior and era; W110 Fintail :)

Will post more pictures when the restoration is finished.

I like that. Always thought Jensens were handsome.

Cheers,

Gaz

All the bodywork for the Jensens is done by Dan and Matt who are doing my W114 coupe. I've met the MD on a couple of occasions there - they are properly done things, unlike the originals...
