I did a quick google around, and it appears the only solution is this:

"My rear tie rod adjusting bolt was seized to the rubber bushing, the only solution for me was to cut through the bolt with a disc cutter (after cutting the tie bar off at the bolt end to ease access for the cutter)"

More googling around revealed almost all cars with rear camber adjustment have this issue if the camber isn't regularly adjusted (and who the hell would do that?), so you'd have the same issue on BMWs, Audis, VWs, Volvos, Acuras, etc, etc...
 
Well, this is now mine, or it will be next weekend.

I might have told the Mrs by that time. Or not.
