I hate my MB because......

For me the question is a simple one;
its the rust issues

One extra answer is that the first one i tested was a CLK 55 and i took too long to decide then someone else bought it.

W208 CLK Facelift

Rust

No door open warning - old honda's / rovers etc all have this

Fair enough on a saloon with rear seats, but would you really need that though on a 2 door coupe?

Rust,

no steering wheel hight adjustment,

The fact i see it more like a loyal pet than a car so i can get a bit over protective with it,

The fact people think your minted just because you have a MB,

I hate my MB cause it's turned me into a snobby tw*t

Went to look at cars with my dad, as it's his hobby buying cars.

Anything I went to see was swiftly followed by "but it's not as nice as a merc"

Problem I have now is I'm never going to drive anythin else... And I'm not even 30 yet.

I hate my E300-24 because I have to open the window to listen to the engine and in winter it gets a little chilly.

I hate my W124 E280 because it just touched 89,500 miles today and the engine still sounds perfect, so I still cant justify an engine upgrade/conversion for a long time yet!

Just nice to have - most cars have it, including my 3 door A3 I used to own...

The interior lights that are still on if the door is left open do this for you ;)

Because everytime I close the door I have to wind the window down first

Is it a facelift 430? If so the window should drop when you open the door, my CLK does this, however I'm told the pre facelift models do not do this.

if you have a facelift model and it does not drop you will need to "re-learn" your windows so they drop when you open the door...

dont know if the pre facelift models can be coded on star to drop when the doors open.

If the doors open, the cabin light stays on doesnt it?

Yep the interior light does stay on if the door is open. so I guess more of a niggle then a hate.

just dont think it would take MB much effort to have the "info display" on the cluster inform you the door is open.

also the boot, same thing would prefer it tells you on the cluster then the small red led!

- i guess these can be classed as OCD niggles rather then hates.

and 2000 was the "bad merc days"...

RUST!!

I mean my CLK has been to merc to have the arches fixed and 18 months later and its back! now merc dont want to know! :wallbash:

Because it tempts me into driving it in such a manner that causes the rear tyres wear faster than it takes an alcoholic to drink a bottle of vodka:D

Oh and because it does almost single figure MPG when it temps me into driving it in such a manner that causes the rear tyres to wear out faster than it takes an alcoholic to drink a bottle of vodka!

Because every time i drive it i'm left with a big grin on my face:D:D:D
