I have the temperature light pop up

The thermometer symbol pops up intermittently in my w205 dash any ideas of the issue

As far as I know, this means that the engine coolant level is too low.

There is coolant in the car in both main and the reserve but I'll try and top up and see if that makes a difference

it's coolant level look at your temp gauge it's normal
