I usually leave the iPod connected all the time, but lately if I leave the car for any length of time then come back to it, I have been getting a message saying, no media connected, I just unplug it then plug it back in at the usb end and all is fine until the next time. Also I have been getting error message with the Battery symbol, Stop driving put the car in "P" and let it idle. I have checked the voltage with my multimeter and get over 14v when ticking over and more than 12v when engine is at rest. So I think the Battery is ok. The Two incidents don't seem to be connected but I could be wrong, could the iPod problem be a poor connection ?

My iPod and C207 used to regularly refuse to communicate with each other and, in the end, I put my music on a USB stick and used that instead. I also have a feeling that the iPod was draining the car battery but I can’t prove that.

I am going to unplug the iPod at night or when I park up for a good length of time, just to see if it helps.

Unplugging iPod at night made no difference, so I tried with air con on manual and had no trouble since. I used to leave air con on auto all the time, so it may have caused a problem, I don't know.
