Hi guys
Just bought a lovely 92 model 190E
The aerial mast is broken off and I dont have the old tip.
The local mercedes garage know the car well and said it is fitted with a Bosch motor and gave me a part number to order a new mast.
Peeping behind the covers I can see the letter h on the side of it (lower case)
Does this mean it is a Hirmscher and not a Bosch motor.

it could be anything to be honest - what makes the garage think its a bosch one? if its just from the chassis of the car remember that on a car this old it will of been changed many times.....

i'd either get a full replacement (with motor) or peel back the interior trim and see exactly what is marked on the motor itself and get the tip for that particualar make/model.

dont just go with what is recorded for the chassis as the original is probably not there anymore.

The one pictured is of a C180 1994 has a… h …on it, can be seen in left picture, I presume it is Hirmscher, the name Bosh doesn’t appear anywhere that I can see.
