I'd had the C43 back for 2 hours after the gearbox rebuild, when I hear a crunch outside. Some numpty took the corner too fast on my cul de sac and bounced off my front bumper.

Why don't people have enough brain cells to realise that sheet ice = less grip??!?

Damage looks superficial but has pushed the bumper out to the nearside so it looks wonky and there's a hefty scratch.

Really sorry to hear of this. You think you would be safe enough in a cul de sac.
I've just told my lad to put his car on his drive or he may get it stuffed overnight, going down to -6 in this neck of the woods.

They weren't going to until they spotted me looking at them out of my living room window. Got their details and he doesn't want to go thru insurance but I've said I'll get a quote after xmas and report back on costs. New AMG bumpers probably aint cheap though...

Hey ho, bumper and bonnet not long since resprayed to get rid of stone chips.

Just noticed, on the plus side that I've got 100 posts and qualify as a hardcore MB enthusiast. Something positive has come out of my various woes then!
