immobiliser staying on???

hi all.....quick question...ive had a problem with my e280 for sum time now with intermmitent starting probs...had the comp put on it today and it came up with RCL (remote control locking)..the probs i have are it will sometines turn over but never fire up...try a few times later and she starts...when this happens the rear view mirror sometimes flash together (but not everytime)!!! now a couple of times (like today) ive had to call the aa out to give me a jump start as after about 4 attempts the battery just died!! now with the key remote....is there a chance it could unlock the car.....turn the engine over....but not actually fire her up??? as im wondering if its unlocking the car etc....but not disabling the immobiliser everytime!! if this is so.....could the remote key fob be faulty????? i would appreciate any advice on this...im paranoid and go out to start her an hour b4 i leave for the school run in case i need the aa out..... ......niceguy

forgot to mention.......the nice aa man checked my battery and said its fine....and its not the ovp relay as my car doesnt have one ..lol
