Hi, I have just found this forum and have spent the last 2 hours reading previous posts. I need a little assurance that I have done the right thing,
two months ago I bought a 3 months old ML320CDI I am very impressed with this and have no doubts about my purchase, but I have to admit it is quite boring to drive, anyway last week I seen a 02 SLK230 for sale at a MB dealers for £8450 full SH, immaculate condition. Anyway it was a sunny day so a test drive with the roof down and I loved it, so I bought it. My dillema is after reading a few posts on here did I pay to much?. Thanks Chris.

if you like it and you are happy with both the car and the service you got from the dealer then nope, you paid just what the car was worth :)

Welcome to the forum

It's only money and you're a long time dead... enjoy! ;)

As long as you like it, then that's all that matters.

Welcome to MBCLUB.

Welcome, no pockets in shrouds, enjoy it while you can. :)

Welcome - you have 2 nice motors there - enjoy

Welcome

Best of both worlds with those two cars :)

If you like it and can afford it then does it matter, you could have searched for months, save a few quid but what the Heck.

Enjoy !

Thanks everyone for your informative replies I have taken your advice and had a great couple of hours enjoying open top motoring yesterday, I cant believe how much difference it makes with the roof down. Just another question, I see people refer to there cars as W123 etc. what are the model numbers of my cars?. A 2002 230 slk, and a 2008 ML320cdi, Thanks again Chris.

SLK is W170 , ML is W164

Sorry to be pedantic, but the SLK will be an R170 - R = 'Roadster' IIRC :)

At the bottom of this link, there is a MB time-line of the model ranges with codes.

its so hard to tell how much a car is worth noadays as it depends on how desperate the seller is

sounds like a fair price to me

Sounds about the right price to me
Glad you are enjoying the SLK experience - Its great fun.

PS
There is a dedicacted SLK Owners web site www.slkworld.com

I've had my V reg SLK230 for years - and I won't part with it. It spends several months a year in my garage - and comes out when the sun does.

10 years old, just over 30K miles, and it still brings a smile to my face when I find an open road.
