Just driven 2,500 km across Europe and it hasn't put a foot wrong. I don't understand why people knock it, at £250 a pop from Ebay why would you have anything else?

Why, Thank-You!!!!

Mine has been perfect for 3 years now. 2 trips to Spain and a massive cruise to Italy via Germany and Switzerland. The speed camera option works great and cost next to nothing. For me 9/10.

I did stupidly pay£500 through the dealer when I bought my cat as was not aware you could get them on eBay at the time, maybe not worth that much but always done what its meant to do and like fact its built into the dash.

Had the Command Nav in my last car but couldn't justify the extra over a Becker and TBH it's fine. The resolution on screen isn't as sharp and the integration not quite as complete e.g. the mute button only mutes at that point not turn of voice. However it works fine and has routed me perfectly so far.

Well, my Becker is not so great. Sent me to the wrong roads many times. Classic one is asking me to leave motorway and join again. It's easy to ignore when I know the road and know it's doing this, but a little bit annoying when abroad and driving first time on particular route. Last time in France it asked me to go left and I could see the route is going to the right.

Heathrow, leaving towards Maidenhead, it says turn right and lanes are also showing turn right but to go to Maidenhead, you have to turn left and that's what overhead signs on the road say.

So I can't trust it and have to check road signs to make sure I'm turning to the direction I want to go.

But I think it's better than Comand Online in terms of setting options, stopovers, showing how far is to next turn/junction, showing arrival time and distance on top left hand side corner when I can see it.

If I buy a car without navigation already included in price I will go and buy new Garmin or TomTom. I'm not going to trust another built in navigation again.

I can't remember when my Becker told to me to turn right/left, it's saying most of the time turn half right/left. I and my passenger even have a joke about it.

'Prepare to go straight on' is my favourite Becker quote.

I'm happy with mine, despite having Command last time. If you have the routing set to Eco it will sometimes take strange shortcuts, but that's understandable. I've never had any problems on fast routes and it does work well across Europe inc cameras and speed limits.

I never have the sound turned on so can't comment on spurious voice commands but the visual guides are fine. I do agree that sometimes it takes the odd short cut down a back route when it would have just been easier to stay on the main road.
