I've recently bought a CLK 230 and asked the same question myself because I also live in Sheffield. I had a sift through posts on Sheffield Forum and the two that most people seem to say are the ones to go for are:

and also recommended to me by several of my neighbours is
TM Services
1a Smithywood Road (off Woodseats Road)

The guy at TM was a Rolls Royce mechanic at Hatfields and apparently he's at home on any top of the range car. He has all the diagnostic equipment including a Star apparently.

I must say that I've not had cause to use either yet because I've not had my CLK that long but I think I'll start with TM first because they are very close to where I live (about half a mile away).

I went to JAR and asked if they'd run a diagnostic on my faulty roof. The guy in charge would only do it if I left my car with them; in his words, he didn't want me "seeing what they did".
That's when I bought my own Star.
