Info on C63 mobile charger/usb

Hi guys I am picking up my C63 amg coupe 125 edition in a short time and I am wondering do I need the mercedes interface cable, or can I just use a normal USB for my iphone and stream via bluetooth?.

What are the pros and cons of both?

On my 2013 63 plate you can plug in an apple USB into the armrest compartment for charging and then I stream via Bluetooth. I use the supplied Mercedes cable to have an old iPod plugged in permanent to the car also (again in the armrest compartment).

You should be good on a 2013 car - look forward to pics.
