Injector Seal

Hi all, once again the first injector is blowing through the seal, in the past 2 years this will be the 3rd time of having to get it fixed, is this normal? I have read somewhere that I can use a different copper seal than the merc one that is slightly thicker, think it was a honda washer, is this correct, car is a I6 320cdi

It should last longer. How much material you have removed from surface, or are both surfaces (cyl head and injector nozzle cap) refined at all? It's not good if you rise injector by thicker washer (not actually needed).

New bolts used, correct torque and 2x 90 deg done? Absolutely clean thread before that? (Just to be sure that basics are all right)

not sure what the surfaces are like, I give it into the garage to get done, will make sure everything is done correctly this time, will actually stand in the garage and watch how its done.
