Hi all

I'm planning on fitting rear parking sensors once I have the van (hopefully Wednesday) and needed to know what I needed apart from the kit itself

Can I just connect the power to the reverse light?

You should get everything in the kit you need, then the earth and reverse 12v from one of the lamps.

Fit a rear view camera, what head unit is fitted?

Can not remember (will be getting it wednesdY), but no doubt it will be the most basic one.

Will be happy with just the beeps. Don't want to spend much on the van, as not 100% I'll be keeping it

Don't fit after market rubbish, complete waste of time and money.

Steelmate are good.

Has anyone retrofitted oem parking sensors to a w639? Reason I ask is I'm swapping the switch panel over for heated seats and the new panel has the parking sensor switch inplace.

Also looking to replace rear bumper, the one I've seen comes with oem sensors with loom attached to it.

Would be nice to have the switch on Dash operational.

The switch on the dash will be to switch off the sensors, for when towing for example.
I've only fitted a kit rather than a retro fit to oem.

As above the switch only turns off the sensors, but if you have fully coded towing electrics the rear ones are disabled when you hitch up anyway.
