Hi everyone, I have a 96 peugeot 406 its done 105000 miles. The problem I have is that the instrument panel is playing up, the fuel gauge will work and then suddenly read empty and then after a while it goes back to where it should be. Also the speedometer will do the same or stick at 40 mph so alot of the time i dont know what speed im doing. So today i went to the scrapyard and got a replacement panel fitted it and it worked but the mileage said 140000. I tried switching the little circuit board that the milage display is mounted to but this didnt work. Any ideas how I can use the new instrument cluster and display the correct mileage?

Is it worth worrying about an extra 35k miles on a 14 year old French car?
