NU call centres were awful - in India I think - one to avoid.

NU / Aviva are strange.

We went with them for our SLK and the quotation system appeared to screw up on details (it kept on changing the named driver [moi] to having a non-UK licence). So my wife phoned them to buy and they sorted things out and then when the documents arrived the price was the same but it had added options and increased the excesses.

So that caused a dispute and they took about 10 days to get back after reviewing the recorded call and sort things out.

My suspicion is that their IT isn't up to scratch.

If you buy from them scrutinise the policy documentation carefully.

My E220 Coupe was with Swift Cover, all online but so fast and easy and was approx £300 fully comp. I liked them because it was all online, you have control over adjusting your policy when you meed to, i.e. add drivers, change car etc adn you even print your own documents. Perfect.

My wife got a great quote from them and their self-service site is very good as you say.

I've used Cornhill for the last couple of years, last year through a broker and this year with Cornhill Direct. Claims and admin helpline always very good.
