Interior Air Vent Lights

I have just noticed when I switch my lights on that only the driver's side adjustment wheel for the air vent is illuminated. Are these lights fibre optics or bulbs? Are they easy to replace /repair? I presume the glove box requires removal.

They are fitted with small yellow LED which are inserted into the wheel from the rear part. The led and its housing are ready to be feeded by 12V coming from dimming light running through the car electronics.

If you want to do this by retrofitting your car you may use same colour LEDs and provide them with a resistor then wiring them to the ash tray light.
