On another forum that I subscribe to they have been debating how best to keep the interior clean.

The latest product that has been discussed is 303 High Tech Fabric Guard. The main point of the discussion related to scuff marks on door sills. As far as I could understand this product is not a cleaner, but an excellent protector! Apply to the cleaned surface and then in future merely wipe off any marks!

I have never tried it so cannot comment, but for anyone that is interested I have found a UK supplier. (could well be more!)

Good stuff and I recommend this.

303 Hi Tech Fabric Guard is excellent. As you say it is not a cleaner but a protector, so do get the interior nice and clean first, vacuum and use Autoglym interior shampoo to remove stains (with an upholstery sponge), then make sure everything is dry before treating the fabric. I first got onto it by being sent a peice of blotting paper half treated with this stuff. You could run it under the tap and the protected half would not wet.

I have treated the whole interior of my wifes Honda with it. Floor carpets, mats, seats and roof lining. This gives better protection, I find, than super guard, dymondbrite etc etc.

The only thing you need to watch with this product is you must use it when the ambient temp is over 50F, you also need to leave it to dry. This can take a few hours, so dont plan to use the car for a while.

The results are really good. You can use it on leather, fabric, even silk.

I have treated walking boots, umbrellas, wifes boots. My walking boots just don't get dirty, everything rolls off them, luckily my car interior never gets as bad as these, but if it works on these boots, the car is not a problem :D

Do keep an eye on the colour, a pair of light tan boots went slightly darker but nothing unsightly but do check on small area first.

I treated the door sill fabrics on my sand EClass interior and there was no problem.

I emptied a 32oz bottle into the Wifes car, I also did all the plastics with 303 Aerospace protectant. This produces a great finish. I did all this the day I picked the car up (I am so sad I know!) but I have no scuffs on the plastics due to this protection and it vacuums clean really easily.

303 Aerospace Protectant will also clean.
