Internet Security choice .

Avira Free + Malwarebytes Free.
No PC infections since using those two.

I don’t use anything.

I just use the standard built-in Win 10 Security (used to be called Windows Defender), plus occasional scans with the free version of Malwarebytes for added peace of mind. Works for us.

I used to use Kaspersky but have now moved to BitDefender, which I'm finding good.

I'm using TotalAV for home devices, lots of features for little money.

Thanks guys .Going for Bitdefender this time ..Norton is over the top price wise ..first years good £19 then next year they ask £70 then i go and switch the renewal off . its renewed automatic . When you buy first time at £19 its called Life Lock .Then you have to give your card details so next year it renews automaticaly ..@ £70 .. thanks

You don't need to paying for anti malware software in this day and age, plenty of good free options out there. I'm using Avast, but as mentioned Windows Defender is fine and malware bytes always useful

I was on Kaspersky, switched to Bitdefender - had a problem with firewalls, cancelled Bitdefender went to Norton, same problem, back to Kaspersky same problem. None of them could resolve it, After a few hours of digging around sorted it myself (WIndows 10 issue).

Other than a brief flirtation with Bitdefender, I’ve been on Kaspersky or Norton for 40ish years. Never had a problem. I also use a VPN.

NJSS Its just a trial for the Premium tool, And in a number of days it will expire and say buy now its had me before on this clever plot.. I tried to get it ages ago,, its just uploading the free trial one .

I've not had any issues. One of the attractions of BitDefender was the inclusion of an unlimited VPN in the version I went with.
I found that Norton and Kaspersky were becoming more and more bloated and intrusive.

Malwarebytes Premium edition

Is the old adage about free software not " If you have not paid for the product you are the product " ?

How do business develop this stuff and then make money by giving it away ?

I use AVG , Kamo , then CCleaner and VPN's Never had a problem ....famous last words.

'Free sample'. There's typically a more comprehensive paid version, which enough people decide to upgrade to.

Windows Defender is part of Windows, so not technically free. But it doesn't cost you anything if you have a licensed copy of Windows ... it gets updated automatically every day:
