Anybody else having difficulty getting this download......been trying since yesterday without success.....

I updated my phone last night without any issues.

Just updated mine via iTunes on PC without any problems.

Trying via iTunes on a MacBook. Always get "Contacting the iPhone software server", then it sticks there forever. My isp is aol (read talk talk) if that has any significance. I know folks in the States were complaining yesterday and Apple tech said that it was just demand......but for sooooo long?

Mine flashed up automatically on the phone earlier, and i just accepted it. No probs. I'd try powering the phone right off, and back on again - it often does the trick if something hangs. Then try the download. Or leave it a few days

Mine just came down OTA and stalled itself no bother, as others have said I'd try that route rather than via the Mac.

Update already! What about the people who have jailbroken their phones and have to do a lot of messing around when this happens :-(

Just updated my iPhone 4 via iTunes on my iMac.

No problems.

Updated our two iPhones 4 and iPad2. One of the phones was a direct download to the phone, the other and the iPad - via iTunes on MBPro.
All three updates went without any problems.

Yes. My 3GS seems faster after the update.
