Thinking of what to get next
Recently upgraded from mini ipod to 16gig itouch, trying to add movie files avi/mpeg/dvd to ipod with no luck.

Ive sussed out that you need some kind of converter to convert formats to mp4 which is what apple uses, doesn't itunes itself have a converter built in that will do this ??? or do i need to buy a program that will ??

Help appreciatted

There are truckloads of options available - are you on a PC or a Mac?

I'm using Roxio Crunch on the Mac. Completely idiot proof. iSquint and Visualhub are also worth looking at.

Crunch is also available for the PC.

I have noticed over the last few days that downloaded US movies tend to lose lip sync, however downloaded UK TV shows look ok. I am wondering if the source material is NTSC and it's converting it to PAL without modifying the sound track.
