Hi all,

I'm considering acquiring a used amg c63 touring, the car is from 01/2011.

Now the (third party) dealer tells me the car never had a problem, but i prefer to play it the safer way, so I was wondering if it is possible to access the car fault history and if any, the respective dates.

Since this would be an import, I have a person that is dealing with this matter for me in Germany, but before I come to terms with the deal i want to guarantee that what i'm being told (about the car fault history) is true.

My intent is to have the car fully checked at a mercedes dealer, but if it's not possible to know the fault history i'll be in doubt of those results.

Thanks in advance!

I believe, from what I have been told & seen by several mechanics, everytime someone/dealer accesses your cars computer system "footprints" are left.

A log is kept of everything.
My own mechanic, who is a mercedes specialist with the latest of mercedes diognostic gear etc.. showed me on my own W208, everyone who had ever plugged into her socket (insert witty joke here ;) haha.

So unless someone has gone to great lenghts to hide something, im sure any history should be available from a diagnostic run.

There is never footprits left. There is no way of knowing when it was plugged in and what for.

MB keep a history of warranty repair work and servicing.
