I am going to have my replacement bulb today late evening. I am keen to replace it straight away. I need some light! :)

But I am not sure it is feasible. There is 10,000V I think and manual says - dont do it yourself.

And for me it is quite a problem to go to garage - I leave home at 7:45 and get back at 19:30. No workshops open these times.

What would you recommend?

There's no power at the ballasts when the lights are off - just disconnect the battery if you are especially worried ! No reason why you shouldn't be able to do it yourself if you know what you are doing.

However, if you are at all unsure of your skills, please take it to the dealer !

Mercedes recommend that you should replace both bulbs to make sure the colour is the same ..... they can differ slightly :)

That's what my ballast/control units say on them, and the little warning stickers I bought say the same thing :)

shude have you got a pic/Part number for the warning stickers?

See my thread from yesterday!

A1298172820 : GUIDE SIGN : EUR 1.07

That price is probably wrong now, I paid £1.02 each for them including VAT. Where is my darned discount these days eh? There was a time that I'd not pay anything for something that costs under a couple of quid!

Thanks to one nice guy from this forum - I have had my replacement bulbs today evening for reasonable price

And guess what! It was not a bulb. Probably my ballast had gone. Now I need to find time to go to MB dealer and get it diagnosed, then find another free time to get it fixed (as I understand they never have things in stock and need a day to order them)...

:( :( :(
