I’d just book a flatbed car transporter to pick it up and take it to the gearbox rebuilders, then drive it from there to a prebooked MOT. I have used a service like that for my old MGB and it wasn’t massively expensive (under £100 iirc) and the car transporter had a heavy duty winch for loading purposes.
