Is this a strike through?

Hello all. First post folks and I need some advice please.
I was using some scratch-x to get rid of small scratches on edge of bonnet and was left with this ..... http://www.humyo.com/F/5720947-179515617
The car was bought used and there was a stone chip repair next to where i was removing scratches. I'm now guesing whoever repaired the stone chip has removed a bit of clearcoat previous in that area and me being too heavy handed, have gone right through it.
Is this repairable or is it a respray job?
The car is an 07 C-Class in Brilliant Silver.
Any help appreciated.

That does look like the clearcoat has gone, but all is not lost. You can gently sand the area with fine w&d paper then clean with alcohol and spray clear lacquer over it.
If the surface is then at all rough or orange peel-y just polish it back with fine polish, until shiney.
