Yesterday I was stuck in traffic in Harrogate. I know that the front PTS sensors become active at and below about 5 mph if your in D, (the two middle little amber LEDS come on), but this other driver came along on my offside to turn right off the main road, quite close to my front offside bumper, and the PTS started to sound and it lit up more segments.

Is this normal?, having thought about it I assume it is?, but this is the first time I've had PTS.

afaik it is normal. It happened to me on the S class I had a while back - was a bit off putting at first!;) But I guess it alerts you to the fact that someone's a bit close so that you might need to do sommat. Like yell "Oy- watch the paint mate" :D :D

Exaclty!, there should also be spikes as well that spike 'em if they get sooo close.

Thanks though, I thought that it must be right and having thought about it again it did happen once before when a pedestrian walked in front in a similar situation but I'd forgotten about that. Wakes you up certainly:eek:. At least its not "just one thing after another", serves me right for going topless in Harrogate;)

Certainly is normal,
I have fun waggling one of my crutches :o :o in front of a sensor when wife is about to drive off. (I did put crutch but it sounded terrible)

And Dave - pity I didn't see you topless in Harrogate:D Must have been before the snow hit when I was intending driving home topless as it was so glorious. Odd that didn't happen:rolleyes: :D

We ought to have a mini Harrogate gtg sometime.
