Newbie to forum but owner of CLK 2004 CDI coupe for 6 years....
various electrical gremlins cropping up over last two years...some of which i see on various threads..
Main dealers diagnosis want to replace parts, & more parts....budget no obstacle you get the idea....not gonna happen!

mainly want to know have I inadvertantly given my car a stroke...
boot "light on" drained battery on particularily cold night in April..
jump started and all seemed fine....

got up 3 days ago & electrics to drivers door dead & lighting control panel same... 1 day of checking fuses & relays to no avail, replaced keyfob batteries, car starts & drives but...

main dealers star diagnostic today produced 3 pages of faults!!! many with undervoltage/ open circuit / fault in CAN commuinication with contol unit ..

have i fried the car!!!
should i try replacing the battery ?( not replaced from new)
any help would be appreciated

Replace the battery and have the faults cleared then check again afterwards.

Frying jump start would have had immediate effect, not few days later. As above, try new battery, low voltage is causing all kind of weird stuff... if there is still problems, new code reading.
