Dear zxrichie, You will not be able to use the Private message facility or reply/post to classified threads unless you have a 30 post count. To post a new message please see the sticky post in the new members introductions area.

Now i'm not being picky, but how do i contact the member who is selling the wheel? I cant post in classified, and i cant send him a PM

Am i missing something.

Rich

It seems to be the site way of varifying genuine members.
It seems comman place among many club sites of people join sight "selling" things that never arrive only to scarper off with the cash.
If its not that its just turn sell some stuff and go.
Both are not benifical to club or other members.
Each site has varying methorda post limits etc.
It seems ere your unable to PM or post in classifieds untill you make 30 posts on the site.

Sprinter, you crack me up, that was good, as we are picking up on grammar, at least i use full stops.:)

Crash, i fully understand the reasons for it, I'm wondering how a genuine new member, like me, can start to contribute to the site's vast knowledge in all things pertaining to the 3 pointed star. I mean, it 's the others you have to keep an eye on.. I (that's for Sprinter) only want to find out how far Aka$h lives as i'm interested in his steering Wheel, and it seems a shame to go and sit in the corner dreaming up 26 more posts, just to find out.

Rich.

As a newbie myself , I am inclined to agree with ZXR. He is looking to buy from another member , not sell , so who , if anyone is likely to be the loser of the transaction ? Nice welcome from White Van Man !
Martin:)

One could argue that by making THIS thread run and making further comments within it does extend ones thread count. :D

It may seem a pain as it did when I was a newbie and wanted to buy something. However I agree with the rules.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

Have you posted in the new embers section - plenty of opportunities to reply (post) to welcomes.

And of course the seller might even read this thread....

There has been a lot of debate about this over the years - run a search to get all the pros and cons - but it is as it is. We're a friendly bunch though, and I've never come across a forum that is so helpful on so many fronts - it seems as though you can ask pretty much any question and almost immediately have a range of helpful answers (as well as some well intentioned but occasionally vicious correction by the grammar and spelling police:thumb:)

Welcome aboard!

Done it again , sorry about this, as i was trying to say, i understand entirely about the rules regarding posting quickly in the for sale, but why a reply to a for sale, Its okay, i'm sure i can get around it on this occasion, i was just asking a question..

Thanks guys i 'm sure my cherry will pop soon enough.

Sorry about that i hit the post button too so

But you do know that you can edit your post?
Do you want me to pm aka$h for you?

But then it would be only one post, not three....;)

Remember, 30's a target, not a limit:D

That`s wahy I`ve asked if he wanted me to pm him, instead nonsense

I thought it was 60 posts for Kawasaki fans? :)

But you do know that you can edit your post?
Do you want me to pm aka$h for you?

DW if you could ask him if he minds me knowing "roughly" where he lives, i might make him an offer for the wheel, and if he's nearby, i might collect

thanks

rich

Somewhat arrogant to assume you know better having only just got here.

Do a search and you'll understand - right now, best not to pretend you do.... all imho of course.
