Just got hold of a 2.5-16V brouchere

After months of looking i've managed to find a 190E 2.5-16V brouchere in English! Did have a look at some at the Essen show and the German ones were selling for €15 so i'm happy with the £12 this is going to cost me!

Just incase anyone else reading is interested in getting a original sales brochure, whether it be for your own car or for one your interested in, I got mine(for my C200) from www.anycarbrochures.co.uk Cost £13.20 delivered about 2 years ago and was in A1 condition.

Nice brochure NicDale - I've got one or two of those tucked away from when I had my 2.3-16 (the 2.3 version, obviously! )

I have also got a couple of other nice bits of literature - an original dealer parts book (for the Cosworths), and another parts book showing all the parts for the 102.983 engine in exploded view.

Keeping to one side for when I buy another 16 valver!

Going OT slightly - I still regret not buying the low-mileage 2.3 from **********. It had something like 12000 miles on it and one owner from new - he kept it in a climate-controlled garage IIRC, and seemed like a bargain (around £10K from memory!)

Proper minty-mint as new timewarp museum piece!

It may have been £10K - £12K also rings a bell though , but it was somewhere around this figure!

I reckon with that many miles on it, you could buy it, run it fairly cheaply as an 'everyday driver' and still do alright when you sell it for about £8K with, say, 80K miles on it!

PPS, how many miles on your one? My 1-owner 2.3, with around 120K on it was bought by me for £1675 (around 1.5-2 years ago!) Bargain of the decade!

Prices are definately on the up!

Mines got 156,000 on it now, bought it at 138,000. FSH with 1 owner who was an ex director of MB.
