Hello I am considering Keyless Go for my 2012 C Class Estate (W204). I understand at new it was an optional extra. I know what it does but would it now include having to have some wiring done or can I just purchase the Ignition button switch, and what sort of price would it be. Thanks.

I think it's great thing to have, but I would imagine it to be horribly expensive to retro fit. There are two aspects - the stop/start you mention, but also keyless entry that unlocks your doors (and boot) when you touch the handles so to do it properly would involve new handles.

All in all, impracticably expensive

Yup, new keys, electronic ignition switch, starter button, control unit, wiring, and antennas. It isn't a cheap option to start with. I'd like it on my ML, but figure its too much to retrofit even though I'd charge myself no labour !!

The idea was nice while it lasted but I think I'll give up on the idea now. Should've got it when the car was new. Thanks for the reply.

One of the best options available and implemented so well on a MB. I often find myself walking up to my house and other cars and wondering why they don't open...

I have a Kevo Bluetooth system for my workshop office.

I'm seriously thinking about putting it onto my house also :)
