KM/h or outside temp toggle??

Does anybody know if there is a way to switch the KM/h in the bottom left hand side of the instrument computer readout to show the outside temperature instead. (C200K elegance)

I have read the manual and it seems it is possible in all countries except UK!!!! Why is that????

IIRC in the UK you must have your speed displayed in both mph and kph.

It can be done using STAR to delete the UK mode.

I had this done some time ago. My dealer has never commented on it. The requirement is the ability to display KPH. With UK mode deleted you can choose to display KPH or not. So if you drive abroad simply by selecting the option in the cluster you can display KPH again.

STAR is the coputer diagnosis system used by dealers and some indies to read out error codes and to code (program) control modules, accessories etc..

There are numerous latent options on MB cars and these can, given the correct supporting hardware, be enabled using the STAR machine.
