Hi anyone, my E55 AMG Estate 1994 has never let me down but in the last few weeks when the engine is warm to hot the kompressor does not always kick in, when its off I trundle along for a mile or so, and bingo it cuts in quick as usual. My indie has changed drive belts (they were worn anyway) but no change, usual chirrup from the kompressor and off like a scalded cat.
My daily journey is from Ramsgate Kent to Edgware North London 105 miles each way, most days/evenings 1 1/2 to 2 hours driving, so when its not working its a real pain.
The car is going in 10/03/10 for discs and pads all round and the usual service. Iv'e been reading about intercooler or magnetic clutch which do you think it might be?
Of course when he plugs it in tomorrow it might show the problem but who knows,
