lack of power

I was driving home this evening, car was going fine, c class C200 CDI, then it would not pull up the hill, used the tiptronic to drop down gears still lack of power. I stopped the car, no malfunctions, car started ok, but when accelerating very little power and seems like squeeling noise, no black smoke, ok when on the flat but no power when you need to overtake or go up hill, is it gearbox or turbo ??????

worse than I thought, new turbo, oil contaminated cat & partical filter, oil change so one huge bill to boot Deep Joy

Hi sorry to hear your bad luck,was it an mb dealer that diagnosed the fault & is the car under warranty?

Car out of warranty, so p off dont hammer it, have it serviced when required, wash it weekly, polished monthly, its totally spoilt. Use a merc specialist the are very good.
Just one of those things the car has only done 53,000

Maybe worth ringing round a few indi garages to see if you can get the price down a bit,good luck on that.

The car is at a indi garage not main dealer, the guys are cool trying to keep the cost down for me

Really sorry to hear that mate. It seems when reading through these forums all you read are the myriad problems that MB have! I suppose it is a forum after all where you're going to hear pleas for help rather than stories about how well it's all going etc.

I had a 560SEC for many years a while back, never once did it ever let me down.
Just one of those things I guess
