My 1996 E200 W124 Cabrio (M111 940 engine) got the equivalent of an advisory on the lambda reading during its annual "controle technique" (mot). This means it got its ticket but it has to be sorted for next time.
The engine has been feeling a bit down on power, eg struggling on long uphill stretches, but seems to idle smoothly etc.
I believe this engine doesn't have a MAF, so could it be a throttle body problem or should I start my checks elsewhere?
I am currently putting together a blink tester so will be trying to read some codes over the weekend.

As always, thanks in advance for any pointers.

Cheers,

Michael

Also do some checks with a vacuum gauge.

It may just be the lambda sensor (oxygen sensor), they have a finite life
on that generation car.
