Gave my 1 month old GLE350 a final wash / wax of the year this afternoon.

Happy New Year all and let's keep those Mercedes Clean through 2017!

You forgot to clean the seagull pooh off the number plate.

Ok.. I'm gonna ask, what did you do to get it so clean.. I just love that watery sheen that you get on it.. but I can't seem to achieve the same on a near black/blue paint...it looks shiny but cloudy....not sharp. To day I did my van and its black came up a treat.. no sweat.. but the car is a different story...

Well, firstly, its only a month old. That helps!

Wetted it all over with a jet wash
Meguiars Hot Rims on the wheel
Snow foam all over
Microfibre wash mitt with Meguiars shampoo and wax
Rinse
Dry with a waffle towel
Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax all over bodywork
Poorboys Wheel Sealant on wheels

I think the watery sheen look is down the the paint colour (as much as the cars youth!). It's Selenite Grey which seems to always look good when clean in all the other cars I've seen. I had a black ML before and no way did it ever shine like this - even when new.

I thought exactly the same.

Saw the shiny finish and thought the car looked good, then like the funky driveway too! :thumb:

Matching bodywork / driveway colour combo...
