Is this LCD any good ?

(click on the Misco offer on the left side)

I'm looking for a cheap LCD to connect to a Freeview box and 5.1 DVD player, but know little about what's good, bad or ugly.

Certainly not startling specifications, have you had a good search for anything better?

Regards,
John

Resolution 1366 x 768

PC Interface DVI, VGA (HD-15)

Contrast Ratio 1000:1

Brightness 450 cd/m2

Pixel response time 16 ms

V-Sync Rate at Max Res 75 Hz

No, just got mailed to me.....but it seems cheap...

When it comes to LCD and Plasma, dont just go for the cheapest as more often than not the picture quality is bad, especially when watching TV rather than DVD

I really agree with Tan on this one, you're better off sticking to big name companies like Sharp, Toshiba, Panasonic etc.

If you're looking for the LCD TV to be your main TV then I would only consider panels with a pixel response time of 10ms or less, preferably <8ms. This should minimise the smear effect that can be associated with LCD TV's.
